The .357 String Band in Europe this month!
03-07-2011The .357 String Band have been over here a couple of times now. This, however, will be their first time in Summer. This means the tour includes festivals, which both them as us are really exited about! The four members of The .357 String Band hail from Milwaukee and deliver bluegrass with the speed and agression of street-scum and call their music, very suitably, "streetgrass".
Guitarist Derek Dunn (photo above), banjo-player Joe Huber, bassist Rick Ness and dobro/mandolin-player Billy Cook fit, with their boisterous interpretation of bluegrass, everywhere. Whether they share the stage with bands such as Anti-Seen (on Speedfest 2010) or country bands like BR549, The .357 String Band takes every audience. Logically, their self-written songs heard on one side by a sacred respect for the already 70 years old bluegrass tradition and on the other hand, an impetuous desire to renew the genre. And that's good, because with this kind of enthusiastic bluegrass bands will always survive. Hope to see you all at the following dates:
