Spiders confirmed to support The Datsuns in The Netherlands

04-12-2024

Spiders weave a wild web of reckless and rip-roaring riffs, spellbinding vocals, seductive rhythms, sticky hooks, and punk soul.
The Quintet —Ann-Sofie Hoyles on vocal, John Hoyles (ex Witchcraft) on guitar), Olle Griphammar on bass and Ricard Harryson  on the drums— crawled out of their native Gothenburg, Sweden rocking leather and turned up to eleven with the 2012 full length-debut Flash Point. Between a marathon of shows, they unleashed 2014’s Shake Electric powered by the title track that got them nominated for a swedish Grammy and P3 Guld award. A marathon of touring followed as they ignited audiences alongside everyone from Kvelertak and Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats to Graveyard and Metallica

Spiders’ 2018 third offering, Killer Machine released by Universal Sweden, showed them tread new territory once again, while preserving their sonic signatures… “If Alice Cooper got married to Stevie Nicks, their child would be Killer Machine,” smiles AnnSofie. “That’s the vibe we wanted."

In 2023 Spiders teamed up with producer Chips Kiesbye (The Hellacopters and much moore) and recorded their fourth album called ''Sharp Objects''. Mixed by Konie (Les Big Byrd & Viagra Boys) and incorporating an additional guitarist, Rickard Hellgren (Ex Deadheads) and new drummer Oskar Brindmark (Ex Hypnos). Spiders have come up with a new batch of hard rock/proto punk masterpieces. The new record is highly influenced off garage/rock 'n roll/punk bands such as The Nerves, Dead Boys and Contemporary act like Amyl And The Sniffers and Bad Nerves. In between recordings of the new album Spiders toured together with The Baboon Show on two weeklong tours in Germany and also did their own headline shows in Scandinavia.

With Sharp Objects, which will be released on February 14th,  Spiders return to the Netherlands supporting The Datsuns:
